NEW! Weekly in person 'Yin & Tonic' yoga classes

I teach weekly classes in term time at The Yoga Shed and studio classes at A fine Balance Studios in Saffron Walden.
NEW 'Yin & Tonic' classes are a grounding blend of Qi Gong, low-to-the-mat movement and deeply nourishing Yin Yoga.
What to expect:
☀️ Gentle standing Qi Gong to awaken energy, improve circulation and ease stiffness.
☀️ Floor based yoga to mobilise the body, strengthen the core and support the joints
☀️ Deep, breath-led Yin stretch and release.
Every Body is welcome with pprops and modifications always on offer.
What is Yin yoga?
Yin is a slower style of yoga where poses are held for longer (2–5 minutes), working into the deeper connective tissues fascia, ligaments and tendons — rather than just muscles. It’s less about stretching hard and more about softening, breathing and allowing the body to gradually release. Yin helps improve flexibility, joint health and overall resilience, while deeply calming
the nervous system.

Radical Rest: Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra
Need more rest?! I know I do!
Once a month I am excited to offer a 1.5 hr Restorative + Yoga Nidra class. This is an opportunity for you to come and experience deep rest.
In our modern world, true rest rarely comes without effort (the irony!) - it’s something we need to consciously choose and create space for. This practice is an invitation to slow down and explore what it feels like to find radical comfort -taking the time to really listen to your body, adding props and support until every part of you feels deeply held. From this place of ease, the body can finally soften, rebalance, and restore.
What to expect?
We’ll begin with gentle movement to prepare the body, then settle into restorative yoga shapes - no stretch, no effort. From there, I’ll guide you through Yoga Nidra.
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra or ‘Yogic Sleep’ is a guided meditation practice that takes you on a relaxing and effortless sleep journey through the breath, body and mind, finding yourself floating somewhere in that magical place between waking, dreaming and deep sleep.
Unlike conventional sleep, the goal is to remain awake and aware while the body deeply relaxes, allowing for the release of tension, reduced stress and anxiety, healing and a boost to overall wellbeing.
No experience needed – just come as you are.
Mat and props provided.
There will be a tasty home made treat on offer at the end to help re awaken.

Each class meets you where you are...
In class, I encourage you to take what you need, there is no pressure to 'perform'. Some days we're full of energy, some days we're running on empty and some days we don't know where we are! On these or on any days, I encourage you to do as much or as little as you need.

Term and class pass bookings valid Tuesdays 7pm at The Yoga Shed only. Term can be booked as a block with a guaranteed space in class or the Class Pass can be used 'as and when' - subject to space in class. Class pass is valid for 11 weeks from the date of purchase.
